City Gas Distribution Market in India (June 2019)

India Infrastructure Research (a sister division of Indian Infrastructure magazine) has just launched the 2019 edition of 'City Gas Distribution Market in India' research report, the most comprehensive and up-to-date study on this sector.

The current level of activity in the CGD sector provides significant opportunity for all stakeholders. CNG and PNG networks continue to grow and fresh licences are being issued at a much faster pace. The recently concluded ninth and tenth bidding rounds have received overwhelming response from both domestic and global players and entail investments worth Rs 1.2 trillion. Going forward, it is important that this growth momentum is maintained through timely execution of projects and sufficient gas availability to the sector.

In addition, challenges such as high execution risks associated with huge capital expenditure, the slow pace of pipeline buildup, low sales and customer penetration, and the high cost of providing last mile connectivity need to be addressed in a time-bound manner.

The report will be divided into four sections with twenty-two distinct chapters:

  • Executive Summary and Key Insights

Section I: Market Analysis, Upcoming Networks and New Opportunities

  • CNG Network - Size and Growth
  • PNG Network - Size and Growth
  • Recent Regulatory Developments
  • Overall Bidding Experience
  • Performance of Key Operational Networks
  • Progress of Key Under Construction Networks
  • Round 9: Upcoming GAs, Demand Assessment and Challenges
  • Round 10: Upcoming GAs, Demand Assessment and Challenges
  • Rounds 2 To 8: GAs Yet to Receive Authorisation
  • New CGD Networks Along Urja Ganga Pipeline
  • Future Outlook and Demand Projections
  • Market Opportunities for Service/Equipment Providers
  • Tariffs, Economics and Cost Competitiveness
  • Update on Pipeline Infrastructure

Section Ii: Gas Supply Scenario and Outlook

  • Domestic Gas Supply Availability and Outlook
  • R-LNG Supply Scenario

Section III: Technology Trends and New Opportunities

  • Network and Asset Management
  • Metering and Billing
  • Other Focus Areas

Section IV: Major Players

Each company profile will cover the company overview, operational and under construction CGD network, financial performance and the future plans and targets.

The report is priced at Rs 100,000 (plus 18% GST) or USD 2,360.

However, we are offering a pre-publication "early-bird" discount. The price is Rs 80,000 (plus 18% GST) or USD 1888 for orders and payments received before or on April 30, 2019.

The report will be available in a PDF format along with a comprehensive excel-based database and is expected to release in June, 2019.
